Guerrilla Recordist                                                  Wherever  you are.

I'm mobile and ready to record bands and singer/songwriters wherever I find you. I bring my studio to you.

Where do you want to record? Is the perfect piano in your grandmother's living room? No problem. I'm a respectable gentleman and grandmothers adore me!

We can record your songs across several different locations if necessary. (After all, grandma might welcome us to record her piano in her living room, but perhaps doing the drums there is pushing it a bit.)

Sometimes you just want to perform where you are comfortable. Sometimes you want to record where the vibe is right. Sometimes it’s a matter of practicality and convenience.

I’ve recorded in lots of different spaces--acoustically treated and not--and I’ve found the vibe is what matters most. Recordings yearn for that vibe--that emotion that vibrates--and emotional content is paramount.

My computer-based studio is compact and powerful.  My microphones are excellent and compact. My vintage tube pre-amps are rugged and smooth. My killer Genelec 1029A active monitors are bricks and they fit in a toolbox. Solid, lean, and mean.

On Dana Boulé’s debut album, Going, Gone we worked in several different cities and spaces. In fact the strings and horns were recorded in an office building in Tribeca (what an incredible sound!) and the record itself was mixed and mastered in London with Chicky.

We tracked piano in Brooklyn, arranged orchestrations and programming in Harlem, and had all kinds of fun at my cabin tracking electric guitars, drums, mandolin, vocals and chillin’ like villains. At the cabin we do a lot of chilling out. It’s like recording at a bed-and-breakfast on a Catskills mountaintop.

I can bring my studio to you, wherever you are.
